ICE raids continue to increase across America & the backlash continues to grow.
It goes without saying that most people are against a Government agency that can:
Come into your home or business without a warrant
Destroy all of your possessions & not reimburse for damages caused
Detain you for hours or days without probable cause
Abduct people without identifying themselves
Use skin color as the basis for why they’re abducting you
Banish people into detention camps
Hold people in detention camps for an indefinite period of time, with no promise of a court date
Ship people to countries they’ve never been before, where they will be tortured
Each one of these bullet points deserves it’s own article if I’m being fair. The devastation that ICE has had on our country this year is immense.
While some politicians in the Democratic Party have decided to not criticize ICE, or given a lukewarm critique, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez came out strong against ICE with her comments about their attacks on New York City.
AOC Slams ICE Raids In NYC
“New York City does not mess around. ICE is a criminal, rogue agency that regularly breaks the law, illegally assaults US citizens and noncitizens alike, and is held to virtually NO respectable standards whatsoever.
New Yorkers protect each other.
We are not going to allow masked cowards to intimidate us and abuse and disappear people because they put a napkin over their face.
When you see them, BLOW THE WHISTLE.
They have been disappearing children and innocent people - *INCLUDING* US citizens, before anyone thinks it’s an excuse to violate human rights depending on one’s status - which, for the record, is WRONG.
Do NOT make their life easy. Make it as hard for them as possible to break the law and disrupt our way of life.”
I appreciate AOC speaking out against ICE & not taking a soft approach with these people.
ICE is a rogue secret police force, that I hoped we’d never see in America.
It’s now my opinion that the brand of ICE has become so toxic, that I believe the “Abolish ICE” movement will sweep the Democratic Party base.
There’s nothing controversial about wanting an end to the existence of a secret police force, with unlimited power, that can sidestep anyone’s constitutional rights & detain them indefinitely.

I recently wrote a little post-it note to myself, that now clings to my computer monitor.
It simply says “One Way Out”.
It’s a reference to a powerful moment in the show - Andor.
My reason for writing this note & putting it in front of me is something I’ll keep to myself for right now, but it’s something I wanted to share because it has a strong message for our country.
In the show, a group of wrongly detained prisoners of a fascist regime, find a way to escape the concentration camp they’re being confined to.
As they’re escaping the prison, they chant “One Way Out”, referring to the one exit the prison provides, but also a nod to the idea that they had to work together.
That’s the message I wanted to leave everyone with today.
Our “One Way Out” is going to be banding together, to overcome this regime.
We as a community will always be stronger together, then we will ever be divided.

These thugs are dangerous. Dangerous because, as we've all seen, they are inept at arresting anyone. They need three goons to figure out how to handcuff an elderly woman. When we finally unmask them, we will see that Noem has hired some Boogalo and Proud Boys, along with Oath Keepers and Three Percenters—a real basket of white superemist deplorables.
put pressure on Hochul to prosecute any illegal ice action. Train the police
