While your position is on its own high. One must speak to the pragmatism of such a position. In a neat clean level field such a position would be laudable if not one to be emulated the world over, but we live in a very dirty world where ones words and what they want as an end are two very different things. If you can say with all honesty looking in not only to your own heart but to the hearts of all those Arab brethren that surround Israel and say that if Israeli guns fell silent that there would be peace and NO MORE WAR FROM EITHER SIDE then we are looking at history from not only different views but through whose eyes? We Jews have been fighting for the very right to exist side by side with the world for far too long for it to be called a lopsided struggle. How many wars how many take overs by how many countries sometimes repeatedly to be called concored and how many times have Jews fought back against odds that defied all odds and won only to be run over again only to be won again by a smaller even weaker strength. And then if all that history was not enough even when we were all but a shallow whisper of what we once were and left to our own devices would probably die of our own accord did those who could not stand for even one Jew to live try to wipe out not only every single Jew but the very hint that we ever existed. And through that hell that man himself devised did we not only come through it we became a more resilient resourceful more determined people.
