Impeachment:
Democratic Representative Yassamin Ansari (Arizona 3rd District) has officially announced that she will introduce articles of impeachment for Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, for his handling of U.S. operation in Iran, according to a report from Axios.
"Hegseth's reckless endangerment of U.S. servicemembers and repeated war crimes ... are grounds for impeachment and removal from office," - Congresswoman Ansari
Ansari also has called for the 25th amendment to be invoked, to remove Donald Trump from office, due to his actions and rhetoric surrounding the Epstein war in Iran.
Congresswoman Ansari pointed to Trump’s deranged tweet from Easter, which is posted below:
“The 25th Amendment exists for a reason; his Cabinet should use it. The fate of U.S. troops, the Iranian people, and the very foundation of our global system are at stake,” she said.
What Happens Now?
Let’s be clear about one thing - impeachment is not going to remove Hegseth from office. With Republicans in control of the House, I doubt the articles will ever get to the Senate, but even if they did, you would then need 20 Republican Senators to vote with every Democrat.
I don’t think there’s a possibility of that happening.
With that being said…
I love this move.
When we look back at the history of this time period, it will be incredibly shameful for a lot of people. History will show how unhinged Donald Trump was doing this era.
It will also show just how complicit so many Democrats were, while this man tore apart our government.
Whether or not these measures succeed is not the point.
The point is, you have to be willing to show the rest of the country, and the world, that we recognize these are impeachable offenses & we will not normalize them by being silent.
The truth is, the regime is committing NUMEROUS war crimes in Iran & they should all face prison time when this is over.
Being silent, and saying ‘we don’t have any power’ is frankly bullshit.
The Democrats may not have any real power in this moment, but they need to be using their platforms to call out the regime - Every. Single. Day.
Thousands are dead in Lebanon. Thousands are dead in Iran. Thousands are dead in Gaza.
The Trump regime could stop all of this today & they choose not to.
We must call them out for their crimes.
I applaud Congresswoman Ansari & wish that more members would grow a Goddamn spine & vocally oppose this war.
Not on the basis of it being “illegal” or a “war of choice”, but on the basis of the war crimes committed, the lives lost, & the resources spent killing people in the Middle East, that could’ve been used to save lives at home.

Impeach them all. We can't normalize this era, by letting these criminals think they're getting away with their crimes. Even if these ghouls aren't removed from office, I do believe the gesture is necessary. The American people must see that there are people in their government who want to prosecute these criminals.
