⚠️ Content Warning ⚠️ ICE M*rders Innocent Man In Broad Daylight. It's No Longer A Debate - We Must Abolish ICE

Abolishing ICE is now the moderate position. Prosecuting & Imprisoning ICE is what this country actually needs to move forward

First, I apologize for posting a horrific video, but I thought people should be aware of what exactly happened today. The video was uploaded by Drop Site News & reposted around several platforms earlier today.

By now, I’m sure you’ve heard that ICE has killed another American citizen, earlier today in Minnesota. As you can see in the video, he was thrown to the ground & shot, for the crime of protecting a woman who was being assaulted by ICE.

The innocent man murdered today was named Alex Jeffrey Pretti. He was an ICU nurse in Minneapolis & was only 37 years old.

May be an image of climbing, outdoors and text

I’ve been shaking all day since hearing about this news. I’m so tired of living in a country where innocent people get gunned down by the state & the rest of us are told that are demands for accountability aren’t “practical”.

Allow me to present my rebuttal…

ICE was created in 2003. We had the ability to enforce immigration issues long before their arrival, & their presence has never helped the reason for their existence.

ICE constantly violates due process.

They round people up based on skin color.

They do not use warrants.

They illegally enter homes & business.

Destroy property whenever they see fit.

Detain people indefinitely in concentration camps.

Deny detainees medical care in these camps.

Rape & sexual assault detainees in these camps.

Deport people to countries they’ve never been, to torture camps.

Assault & murder citizens in our streets.

This is a federal police force that only answers to Trump & they literally operate above the law. Anyone who supports them, I want absolutely no association with.

Thankfully, it seems some Democrats are finally getting on board with what has to be done. This was a statement made by Congressman Robert Garcia, a Democrat from California’s 42nd District.

While I am thankful to see more politicians finally calling for ICE to be abolished, and I am also thankful to see Chuck Schumer say the Senate Democrats will not vote for the ICE funding bill, I want to end this by returning to the person who lost their life today.

Alex Jeffrey Pretti could have honestly been any of us. A person concerned for his community, attending a protest, and trying to protect a neighbor from ICE. Just a person who thought they were doing the right thing.

So many of us have attended protests. A lot of people would’ve done something similar, had they been in that place at that time.

I could easily see myself being the person who was murdered today. It could’ve been any of us. I feel for his family, who are now having to deal simultaneously with the death of a loved one, and the slander of his character online, as MAGA trolls have descended to protect the “integrity” of their Gestapo.

Statement from the family of Alex Pretti:

"We are heartbroken but also very angry.

Alex was a kindhearted soul who cared deeply for his family and friends and also the American veterans whom he cared for as an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis VA hospital. Alex wanted to make a difference in this world. Unfortunately he will not be with us to see his impact. I do not throw around the hero term lightly. However his last thought and act was to protect a woman.

The sickening lies told about our son by the administration are reprehensible and disgusting. Alex is clearly not holding a gun when attacked by Trump’s murdering and cowardly ICE thugs. He has his phone in his right hand and his empty left hand is raised above his head while trying to protect the woman ICE just pushed down all while being pepper sprayed.

Please get the truth out about our son. He was a good man.”

So I want to honor the wishes of his family.

Please share this video.

Please publicly push back against the lies of the regime. Don’t not let the regime & their online trolls, lie about what happened today.

It could’ve been any of us.

Until next time,

Desmond
