Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Decide On Fate Of Officers After Viral Video Causes Nationwide Backlash

Millions of people have now seen the video of 22 year-old William McNeil Jr, being assaulted by several members of the Jacksonville police. The video has gone viral on virtually every social media platform over the last week. Video shows McNeil sitting in his car, when officers shatter his window, punch him, in the face, drag him out of the car, and proceed to punch him again.

Officers said they pulled McNeil over for “not having his headlights on”, even though it was 4:00 in the afternoon and it was not raining.
Since the release of the video, millions across the country have expressed outrage at another example of police brutality in America. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has now made a decision as to what disciplinary actions those officers will receive.
