Daniel Carlino was the very 1st guest I had on Independent Thought, 5 years ago when he was first running for office.
Daniel is currently serving as a member of the City Council in Missoula, Montana & is seeking reelection this year.
There was a moment in this conversation that absolutely made my brain begin to melt…when you come across it, please tell me if you agree with my reaction. I could not believe what Daniel said to me.
While the national political landscape has left so many of us feeling hopeless, I still very strongly believe in focusing on local politics, where usually we can have a strong impact.
I know many of you do not live in the state of Montana, but I hope you enjoy this conversation all the same. It’s important to remember that we should all take some time to be involved locally.

Carlino is looking to run for re-election in Missoula as he faces new challengers in the 2025 city council election. Carlino represents the left-flank of the city council & is running a progressive platform & vision for the city.
