No One Wants A War With Iran - So Why Is This Happening?
Trump threatens war with Iran - have you heard about this?
In total, the United States of America spent $3.9 Trillion dollars on the Iraq war.
Let’s imagine if that money was spent at home - with the same amount of money, the United States could have guaranteed that every person in the country, could be guaranteed housing, for the next 261 years.
Read that again. 261 years…
Instead, a bipartisan majority of Congress paved the way for George W. Bush to invade the country, depose the government, and stay behind to massacre the people.
Everyone after the fact said it was a MASSIVE mistake, yet, at the time, it was considered largely controversial to critique the war.
4,400 U.S. military personnel lost their lives in Iraq. I’m sure many of you know someone who served in the country. Many of these people were recruited into the military while they were children in high school.
They thought they were protecting their country from “terrorism”.
It seemed like the right thing to do…yet, what did it accomplish?
After 10 years in Iraq, our military killed over 1 million civilians. Yes, you read that number correctly. The U.S. lost over 3,000 civilians on 9/11 & it’s considered the largest terrorist attack on our nation in its history.
Our military killed over 1 million Iraqis during that campaign.
Our presence, didn’t root out terrorism, it caused even more extremism in the area. How could it not? Seeing friends & family killed every day by a foreign government, how would you react in the same circumstance?
That’s not to excuse the horrific actions of a group like ISIS, who formed in Iraq during this time, but what I am saying, is instead of combating terrorism, we created more of it.
The Iraq war truly accomplished nothing.
We spent money we didn’t have
Were unable to invest that money at home
Lost American lives
Lost Iraqi lives
Destabilized the country
Left it worse than when we arrived
The only thing that was accomplished — we made more money for the defense contractors, oil companies, and the anyone who profits off of war.
Now here we are again.
Donald Trump is lining up the largest military presence in the Persian Gulf, the likes of which we haven’t seen in over 30 years.
It’s obvious he’s about to attack the country of Iran, and it’s mostly crickets back here in America.
I appreciate everyone posting about the atrocities of ICE, that needs to happen, and must continue to happen.
I appreciate everyone posting about the atrocities we’ve found in the Epstein files, that needs to also continue, the survivors need justice & the people connected must pay.
However, why is it that so many cannot seem to make time to also talk about this?
Iran is a nation of 93 million people. It’s more than double the population that Iraq was & has a much strongly military presence that Iraq did.
If we attack this nation, it will make what happened in Iraq look small by comparison.
And has Donald Trump even given us a reason for why this is happening? I mean, literally anything at all?
I’m begging you to make more noise about this story. You may feel powerless, I feel like we all do, but you have the same amount of power talking about this, that you do talking about ICE or Epstein.
So I have to ask - what is the difference?
Please don’t be silent.
Please denounce this war.
Words cannot express just how catastrophic it would be, if the United States went to war with Iran.
Until next time,
Desmond

I really hope more people start talking about this issue. We know for a fact that this regime is sensitive to bad press. We need to exploit that now to prevent this disaster.
A nuclear deal... Remember when we had a nuclear deal with Iran? Remember who decided to pull us out of this deal? Same old story - create chaos to justify more chaos...
