Republicans Face MAJOR BLUE WAVE In November - As Virginia Officially Decides To Redistrict

This could add 4 additional Democratic seats in the House

Republicans were already terrified about their chances this November with how unpopular Donald Trump’s 2nd term has been, but this might send that panic into hysteria.

This all started with the state of Texas, doing a mid-decade congressional redistricting. Texas wanted to take their 25-13 advantage & hopefully turn it into a 30-8 advantage.

Texas redrew the maps, & now 5 Texas Democrats will no longer be in office come January 2027.

Now, the legality of those maps is still under dispute, but in the meantime, they are place.

In response, both California & now Virginia, have decided to ask the voters of their states, if they should redistrict as well.

Tonight, Virginia has voted to say - YES.

As of right now, the final vote is still being counted, but NBC News & most major outlets, are projecting the amendment will pass in Virginia. This will take the Democrats 6-5 advantage in the state, & probably push it to a 10-1 advantage.

Republicans were already expecting a major blue wave this year, which is evident by the fact that 35 Republicans have already announced their retirements, instead of opting for re-election.

That is an all-time number of retirements by the way…which passed the previous mark before the 2018 midterm elections.

Combine that information with the fact that the House currently stands at:

Republicans - 217

Democrats - 213

4 vacant seats

Republicans barely have a majority to hold onto & with the SAVE Act officially dying in the Senate this week, I think the writing is on the wall.

This is the breakdown of what the new districts would look like going forward

Final note
