Trump Announces WITHDRAW Of 700 ICE Agents From Minnesota - The Pressure Is Working
But we're far from done...
Let’s start with the good news - the Trump regime has felt the nationwide pressure against ICE & is recalling 700 of his secret police, reducing the number in Minneapolis.
I want to be clear about something - this is a victory. A small one, but still a victory worth acknowledging.
With that being said, 2,000 ICE agents still remain in Minneapolis, but the Department of Homeland Security has said they will reduce the number to 0 over time.
I’m happy for the people of Minnesota. They’ve been terrorized by ICE for months now, and the community desperately needs relief from their chaos, but I don’t want us to get complacent here.
Trump has already said he plans to continue these raids in new areas. So while Minneapolis may be about to feel relief, another city is about to be invaded soon. Unfortunately, we do not know where.
NBC News covered this earlier today, here’s a piece of what they posted:
The Trump administration will withdraw 700 federal immigration agents from Minnesota, border czar Tom Homan said Wednesday. The move comes weeks after agents killed two U.S. citizens, sparking protests across the country.
“My goal, with the support of President Trump, is to achieve a complete drawdown and end this surge, as soon as we can,” Homan said at a news conference.
He reiterated that immigration efforts would continue and that agents would not solely target undocumented criminals.
“If you’re in the country illegally, you are not off the table,” Homan said. “Let me be clear, President Trump fully intends to achieve mass deportations during this administration, and immigration enforcement actions will continue every day throughout this country.”
"The drawdown and body-worn cameras are a step in the right direction, but 2,000 ICE officers still here is not de-escalation,” Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said in a statement. "My message to the White House has been consistent — Operation Metro Surge has been catastrophic for our residents and businesses. It needs to end immediately."
I want to reiterate - this is win. Trump retreating forces out of Minneapolis is a clear sign that he feels he’s losing the PR battle, & is trying to course correct. So I do want us to focus on that for an important reason.
It’s validation that with enough pressure, we CAN force these people to move.
Now we have to maintain the pressure.
We have to continue calling out the horrific policies of ICE. We have to continue calling for them to be removed from our cities. Call for them to be defunded. Call for them to be abolished.
After a year of wondering if our pressure would work - know today that it is.
Let’s continue.

Trump would've never done this if he wasn't feeling the pressure. Keep it up. Our voices do matter. Abolish ICE.
