Thank you for covering this story and FUNDAMENTAL RIGHT to have clean water!!!! These chemicals get transported all over the globe!

Absolutely. There’s so many stories going on, that’s it’s hard to pick one to focus on, but I knew I had to draw attention to this one. Stories like this always seem to fall between the cracks

As someone who grew up in Parkersburg, WV - home of DuPont’s plant that manufactured Teflon - this one makes me extremely angry. (Google the movie “Dark Waters” if ya’ll don’t know what I’m talking about)

It’s incredible how callous you have to be, in order to roll back protections on chemicals in the water supply

Gigi's avatar

Looks like we had banned them but heir furer doesn’t want to have his billionaire friends to have to spend money, keeping those chemicals out of the water so swish with the swipe of a pen we all get to have PFAS in our water woo hoo!! Are we great again yet?

Independent Thought's avatar

It’s amazing how poisoning the population isn’t off limits

So ban fluoride but pump the water full of PFAS. Great.

It’s a disgrace that these corporations are allowed to just keep it up as far as no modifications on their end . But to not even warn people about these risks is beyond unreasonable.

This administration is a blight on our society and our rights to live the way we must, in order to survive. He is that hateful.

He loves money and corporate rule . And he endorses their agenda of corruption ( which is his) every chance he gets.

Independent Thought's avatar

That’s what I’m saying. There’s no excuse for not warning people about the dangers of what they’re consuming. But also…it shouldn’t be in our water supply in the first place

Makes me wish someone had encouraged him to "drink the bleach" to prevent Covid

What is most horrifying is that these actions will never be entirely reversible. This is our water supply! Water all ends up mixing sooner or later like do they even know how this planet works?!

Independent Thought's avatar

It’s obvious that they don’t care. It’s scary to see how little regard they have for the rest of us

People who voted for him are dumb fools. Trump himself is a dumb fool. A useless old man for the ultra rich who give him proclamations to sign. Republicans think this is good.

The right wing propaganda machine has spent billions peddling disinformation. There’s going to be years of work ahead of us to undue their damage

Maybe the tarifs will slow the flow of toxic chemicals into the country !?! Just trying to see a silver lining from this chaos 🥹

Independent Thought's avatar

I wish there was a silver lining to this story, but I’m no sure there is. Unless it’s through more people taking action in response to this story

“Great” for who though? Not for us
