Trump To Deport 240K Ukrainian Refugees? - Admin Considering Revoking Legal Status
By: Desmond Price
It feels like a lifetime ago now, but it has only been 3 years since the beginning of the war in Ukraine. In February of 2022, the Russian military launched a full scale invasion into Ukraine, taking several areas in the eastern part of the country known as the ‘Donbas’.
At the time, I remember being completely caught off guard by the move. I mean, there hadn’t been a war in Europe since the end of World War 2. While Putin had annexed Crimea in 2014, it was still difficult to fathom he would attack the entire country.
I spent the next week trying to understand why Russia would make such a move. A move of this magnitude was seen as unthinkable at the time, because it would certainly thrust Russia into the territory of being a “pariah state”, which would undoubtedly come with being cut off from the rest of the world.
Which is exactly what happened. They were sanctioned from every angle and Vladimir Putin was labeled a war criminal. To this day an arrest warrant is still active for the Russian President.
Through the research I did, I came across some political pundits who claimed Putin was “forced” to make this move & others who blamed the West for “antagonizing” Russia.
I also heard Putin (in a hour long rant) explain why he believed Ukraine was an illegitimate state, that should have never existed in the first place. That that territory belonged to Russia & that he was just taking back what belonged to them. What belonged to the Russian empire…
Allow me to be completely clear on my stance here - I, in no way whatsoever, will ever legitimize imperialism. Ukraine does not belong to Russia, regardless of whatever Vladimir Putin believes. His invasion of Ukraine is not justified in any way.
To the fringe group of leftists who believe Putin had a right to invade Ukraine - this is your invitation to unsubscribe now. I will never be on the side of an invading & occupying force (that goes for a certain country in the Middle East as well).
With all that being said, I am absolutely sick to see this latest report that Trump is considering revoking the legal status of 240,000 Ukrainian refugees.
Before I get into anymore of my thoughts, let’s first get some details from Reuters ⬇️
U.S. President Donald Trump said on Thursday that he would soon decide whether to revoke temporary legal status for some 240,000 Ukrainians who fled the conflict with Russia, following a Reuters report that his administration planned to take that step.
The planned rollback of protections for Ukrainians would be part of a broader Trump administration effort to strip legal status from more than 1.8 million migrants allowed to enter the U.S. under temporary humanitarian parole programs launched under the Biden administration, a senior Trump official and three sources familiar with the matter told Reuters.
A move to revoke the Ukrainians' status could come as soon as April, all four said. They said the plans to revoke their status got underway before Trump publicly feuded with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy last week.

As many of you know, this is coming on the heels of the White House meeting between Trump & Zelenskyy, where the two argued with each other in front of the entire world. Trump, looked as thin-skinned as ever & our Vice President berated Zelenskyy for not saying “thank you” to Trump.
While I have enjoyed the JD Vance memes that have flooded social media since that day, what is no laughing matter, is that the Trump administration has since suspended all military assistance to Ukraine, and even shut off intelligence sharing with the country. All of this, while Russia continues to bomb 💣 the country daily.
Zelenskyy now heads to Saudi Arabia to meet with the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who is acting as a mediary between Ukraine & Russia. Given the situation Ukraine now finds itself in, Zelenskyy is looking to end the war. Which will surely mean, allowing Russia to keep all of its current occupied territory, nearly 25% of Ukraine.
Back here in the U.S., the fate of the Ukrainian refugees for now is up in the air. Trump has shown no remorse when it comes to refugees in America & it wouldn’t surprise anyone if he chose to in fact revoke their legal status & deport them, just to spite Ukraine.
I feel for every one of those people, who now have to sit and wait helplessly, while Donald Trump decides if he wants to use them as pawns or not.
It goes without saying just how inhumane this whole situation is. Ukraine is a battlefield. Hundreds of thousands have died over the last 3 years. Russia has bombed every area of the country, proving no where within Ukraine is actually safe from their military reach.
Russia has launched 1,200 aerial guided bombs, nearly 870 attack drones and more than 80 missiles at Ukraine in the past week alone, Zelenskiy has said.
I’m not sure if there is an organization here in the U.S. that can assist these folks from the pending Trump decision, but if you happen to know of one, please comment below with their information
In Closing
It’s heartbreaking for me to think of the people who fled to America, thinking we would provide them with safe harbor, only for us to then use them as pawns in some sick game that Trump is playing.
The United States should not only be continuing the legal status of these folks, but we should also be extending legal status to more folks who have displaced (especially if we had a role in their displacement).
It is my sincere hope, that as we look towards the future & imagine what our future looks like, it will include welcoming more people to our country, not shoving out those in need.
Finally, here is a video that I hope will lift your spirits a bit. Thank you all for checking out our post today
Until next time,

Make no mistake, Trump and his administration murdered Ukrainians when they shut down the satellites
No one is safe in this administration. So fucked
