Independent Thought

“I came across the account Appodlachia in 2023 & have been admiring their coverage since. One of their cohosts Chuck, has come on Independent Thought a few times & I’ve always loved his insights on the news cycle. This is a great read for anyone in Appalachia, especially if you’re politically progressive. They constantly highlight all of the successes and struggles of the region, while bringing levity when they can. Definitely recommend. ”

“Elizabeth Booker Houston is one of the most talented creators I’ve come across since I started doing this work 5 years ago. Incredibly sharp critiques of power, always finds a way to bring the humor while calling out injustice & she never stops trying to center folks that are being marginalized. I cannot recommend her strongly enough.”
