As I understood it, when Schumer was explaining his decision, it was so that there would be no shutdown. Because a shutdown would have enabled Trump the time to gather his own resources and move to plunder furrther while he had all that time that would follow while on shutdown. That would have been a worser disaster. Worse than the present one. Therefore, Schumer’s choice would be the lesser of two evils. He understood, he said, that he would be reviled.
Choosing the “lesser of two evils” is still choosing evil. That “worse disaster” argument is a fallacy. A shutdown wouldn’t have magically given Trump more power—if anything, it would’ve slowed things down. Caving to GOP pressure just sets a precedent that threats work, and that’s way more dangerous in the long run. Schumer didn’t choose the lesser evil—he chose to keep rewarding bad behavior.
HE needs to remove himself or vote him out!!! This is bad enough that Republicans are on PUPPET MASTER'S payroll!! THEY know they are getting paid under the table!!! IT'S ridiculous, it's bad enough other countries consider USA the enemy!!! NEED to get the government back!!! SO if Schumer wants to workfor Puppet master he needs to get away from Democrats side!?!
